Ole River Bass Club of Jackson, MS is a not-for-profit organization that was officially organized in 1982. The purpose of Ole River Bass Club is to stimulate public awareness of bass fishing as a major sport. Our main objective is to improve our skills as bass anglers through a fellowship of friendly exchange.  The club fishes 10 tournaments during the year. The Ross Barnett Reservoir has been established as the "home" lake for Ole River Bass Club. However, the club fishes at numerous lakes throughout Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Arkansas.

The members of Ole River Bass Club fish throughout the year to obtain points to earn a coveted spot in the year end Classic tournament with hopes of becoming the Angler of the Year.

Ole River Bass Club participates in various community outreach events each year.  The club sponsors events such as Youth Fishing Day, Adopt-a-Family for Thanksgiving and Christmas and supporting families and individuals in need.

Ole River Tournament Director, Ahmod Johnson and Assistant Tournament Director, Andre Jones, presented the McLaurin family with numerous gifts and essentials to help them have a memorable Christmas.
